SAGA Balloon Masters Cup
Over 30 years have passed since the first hot-air balloon competition was held in Japan. As such, we have a lot of pilots over the age of 50.
They have been heartily involved in promoting ballooning and bringing it to its current level of popularity.
In 2003 the first Senior Pilot Championships were held in Saga in cooperation with the International Balloon Fiesta. Only pilots over 50 years old were allowed to participate. In 2005 it was renamed the Saga Balloon Masters Cup.
