Ruins of Yoshinogari
The Ruins of Yoshinogari

Opened as the 2nd National Historic Park in 2001, Yoshinogari Park contains the largest ancient ruins in Japan, dating back to the Yayoi Period (300BC to 300AD).
It has a total area of 58 hectares in which there are several relics of residential areas surrounded by moats.
It takes less than 20 minutes by train from JR Balloon Station or JR Saga Station to reach JR Kanzaki or JR Yoshinogari Stations. The park is about a 10-minute walk from either station.
Why don’t you visit it in your free time? Some extra good news! During the Saga International Balloon Fiesta you can enter it free of charge.
